Community Workshop
Facilitator(s): Jessica Wollen, B.Ed., Director of Shift Education, Certified Sexual Health Educator
Time: 10:30am - 12:00pm | Location: Online
This two-part professional learning series equips educators and caregivers with knowledge and practical strategies to respond to sexual development and maintain safety for children and youth ages 7–18. The sessions prioritize real-world application, common language, and team dialogue—because consistent adult responses are essential in supporting young people through puberty, identity formation, and increasingly complex social environments. Jessy Wollen will focus on: boundaries, consistency, and teamwork—anchoring educators in a unified, practical approach to supporting ages 7–18 as they navigate healthy sexual development.
Of Note:
- Both sessions are earlier in the day (10:30 AM-Noon)
- Participants must attend both sessions to receive their certificate.

Community Workshop
Facilitator(s): Pat Mirenda, Ph. D and Nicole Provost
Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm | Location:
Awareness of the inequities experienced by autistic girls and women can be the first step to resolving the barriers they face. In this workshop, an autistic self-advocate and a non-autistic educator/researcher will discuss the challenges experienced by girls and women on the spectrum. Gender stereotypes may influence perceptions of autism characteristics, contributing to delays in diagnosing individuals identified as female at birth. In addition, girls and women are often overlooked in autism research, training, and service provision. The presenters will offer some potential solutions to these challenges, based on both personal experience and research.
